Kinda Lost

Well, I am a new user here, but I didn't know about P8 until now. I found this place after searching for a while for the MHP2QE English guide writer, Strew. I, like all of you here, plays the Monster Hunter game series, starting from the PS2 game but, until recently, I've been playing solo. Though, I had to switch from playing Freedom 2 to Portable 2nd, because the local US stores don't carry it. Anyway, since the switch, I've stumbled upon MHP2QE, which in a way, justified me buying MHP2nd.

I've just created my first quest, and to tell the truth, I'm stuck. It's a 5 hour long quest where the hunters have to kill 5 Rajangs at the same time. But the truth is, it's just a modification of the "Golden Thunder God" quest. The guide I downloaded I is for an older version of MHP2QE and the Japanese Font isn't working (running Vista, it sucks) so I barely knew what I was doing except for what was explained in the guide.

Anyways, even though I come here with a question, I'll stay and try to help the Forum anyway I can.

welcome man, the only language for te qe is jap so u have to use the guide. its alittle confuseing but after doing alot of them u start to get it and wont evan have to look at the guide. If u have a specific questions about the qe feel free to ask.

i concur, my vista owns all XP's atm

My Vista shows the Japanese Font as a bunch of question marks, so I have to guess most of the time

you need to install a language pack in most cases XP will do that aswell depending what version your running

Nope, that didn't work, still have to guess

it dosent matter what language pack u install it will always come up like that. only the letters in the drop down menu will change.

Maybe it would be easier if I posted what I can('t) see

did u only install 1 jap pac b/c theres a simplified one that dosent have all the characters...
